City Council Notes: Holiday Beautification Winners Announced, Town Hall Meetings

Council members also set dates for the Board of Review to hear residents' tax appeals.

The Clawson City Council met Tuesday evening for the first time in 2012. Here are a few highlights the community should know about. Parks & Recreation Director Mickey Alderman announced the winners of the 2011 Holiday Beautification Awards. The top five winners were Margaret Cianciolo of the 20 block of Essex; Kevin and Bonita Horning of the 100 block of South Bywood; the Irla family of the 400 block of Park; Robert and Sharon Kallmeyer of the 700 block of Langley; Bob and Pat Stachel of the 500 block of Langley. The city awarded Park Street, between Washington and Custer, as the best block for holiday decorations this year.
