Parks & Recreation Director Mickey Alderman announced the winners of the 2011 Holiday Beautification Awards. The top five winners were Margaret Cianciolo of the 20 block of Essex; Kevin and Bonita Horning of the 100 block of South Bywood; the Irla family of the 400 block of Park; Robert and Sharon Kallmeyer of the 700 block of Langley; Bob and Pat Stachel of the 500 block of Langley. The city awarded Park Street, between Washington and Custer, as the best block for holiday decorations this year.
