Deloris Kumler was appointed the first curator of the Clawson Historical Museum in 1977. She was one of the members of the Clawson Historical Society who worked toward the founding of the museum in 1973. Over the years she has written several interesting articles highlighting Clawson's history, and has continued to educate the public in preserving their own heirlooms and photographs. She has written two books on Clawson history; Images of America, Clawson, and Clawson, The Way It Was. Both books are available through the Clawson Historical Museum and Clawson City Hall.
