Born and raised in Clawson, MI, Ryan Cox has been a committed part of the community his whole life. After graduating from Clawson High School with honors and both academic and athletic scholarships, he went on to study business for a short time at Macomb Community College before a knee injury while playing for the school's soccer team changed his path.

Taking a hiatus from education, Ryan spent the next few years managing and performing in a music group that had him touring the country, gaining unique hands-on experience in the entertainment and media industries.

Though still involved in music, today, most of his time is dedicated to freelance writing, from private contracts for promotional write-ups and biographies to articles, reviews and blogs for publications.

Deciding to return to college and finish his degree, Ryan has since received an Associate's Degree of Liberal Arts from Oakland Community College with summa cum laude honors. He's continuing to complete a second Associate's Degree in Cinematic Arts before going on to Wayne State University's Fine Arts program to study film.
