I grew up in Oregon, pronounced 'OR-uh-gin', a land of trees, bike lanes, recycling, and no sales tax-- equipped with attendants who pump your gas.  

Since then, I got my Bachelor's at Whitman College, studied abroad in Spain, and then moved to Hawaii to Teach for America.   There, I taught high school English and earned my Masters in Education.  I just moved to Michigan in August.
