Local Record Store Offers New Tunes with Recent Releases
Flipside Records' owner Todd Fundaro recommends a list of new releases at his store as well as upcoming releases.
The record industry has gone through a lot of changes in the past few years and they have had a huge effect on record stores. Local shops are closing all over the country including many in Metro Detroit; many musicians and bands aren’t even releasing physical media anymore (CDs, vinyl records, etc.) and focusing on the cheaper digital distribution channels like iTunes or Amazon.
However, one shop continues to stay the course and survive in the tough climate of today’s music industry and it’s right here in Clawson— .
Todd Fundaro, owner of Flipside, offered up 10 of the best recent and upcoming releases at the store.
- Radiohead: King of Limbs— Fundaro thinks this will be the best-seller of the bunch because he said, “Radiohead fans are extremely dedicated.”
- Wanda Jackson: The Party Ain’t Over— A local talent, Jackson’s newest record was recorded with Jack White.
