5 Things You Should Know About This Week

A roundup of meetings and events in Clawson this week.

1. The Clawson Historical Society has invited Bob Muller, naturalist with the Royal Oak Nature Society, to present on "Ghost River: The Red Run" at 6:30 p.m. Monday at . Muller will discuss the demise of the Red Run — a river that flowed through the Clawson community. For registration, call 248-588-9169.

2. The Clawson Genealogy Group will meet from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Blair Memorial Library. The group welcomes both novice and experienced genealogists.

3. The Clawson City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.

4. will host Network-a-Palooza II from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday. The event, held in collaboration with the Ferndale Chamber of Commmerce, will offer the opportunity to make connections and will include hors d'oeuvres, desserts, prizes and a goodie bag for all attendees. Proceeds will go to the Higher Ground, a non-profit organization that helps people living with HIV.

5. The kicks off its three-day garage sale this week, beginning Thursday and ending Saturday. The sale is located at 349 N. Webik Ave. and lasts from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
