5 Things You Should Know: Boys Basketball, Dixieland and More

We're keeping you in the loop with things going on around town this week.

1. The varsity boys basketball team will kick off its season at 7 p.m. Tuesday in a home game against Sterling Heights High School. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for students. A $50 family pass also is available, which allows the entire family to get into 10 games of their choice.

On the topic of sports, don't forget to vote in our '' poll. The deadline to vote is Wednesday Dec. 7.

2. Stu Johnson, member of the Michigan Jazz Record Collectors, will give a slide and recorded music presentation about Dixieland music at 7 p.m. Monday at . This free program is sponsored by The Friends of the Library. Please register in the library or by calling 248-588-5500.

3. The Clawson City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at . Coffee with the council begins at 7 p.m.  

4. Clawson Police continue to search for leads in a that have been reported in the past two months. Residents are being asked to report any suspicious activity to police. Call 248-524-3477 if you have information that could aid their investigation.
