The following is a list of events planned for the city's Fourth of July celebration this year. All events will be held at City Park unless otherwise noted. Keep checking the Clawson Patch for developing details on the events.

June 25

• Kiddie Garage Sale — 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
• Kiddie Parade — 11 a.m. (sponsored by the )
• Kiddie Games — 11:30 a.m.
• Big Wheel Race — 11:45 a.m. (sponsored by Tri-County ACE Hardware)
• Coney Day — 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (sponsored for )

June 26

• Free Fun Run — 7 p.m.
• 5K Freedom Run (3.1 miles_ — 7:30 p.m.

June 27

• Clawson Community Blood Drive at — 1-7 p.m.

June 29

• Ice Cream Social — 7 p.m. (sponsored by the Clawson Lions Club)
• South Oakland Concert Band — 7:30 p.m.

July 3

• Bonus Night with amusement rides and food concessions — 3-9 p.m. (admission $2)

July 4, Independence Day

• Herb Glenn Memorial Pancake Breakfast at — 7-11 a.m. ($5 adults, $4 seniors, $3 children)
• Firecracker Mile at Clawson Shopping Center on West 14 Mile Road — 7:45-9 a.m. ($20 entry fee; $12 before June 28)
• Fourth of July Parade — 9 a.m. (Clawson Shopping Center to City Park)
• Arts & Crafts Fair — 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Midway Area Open — 10 a.m.-10 p.m. ($2 entry fee)
• Midway Area — free attractions 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
• Opening Ceremony — noon
• Clawson Junior Boys Baseball All Star Game and Clawson Junior Boys (ages 9-10) Novice All Star Game — noon
• Water Battle: vs. Troy Fire Department — 1 p.m.
• Clawson Junior Boys Baseball All Star Game and Clawson Junior Boys (ages 11-12) Novice All Star Game — 2 p.m.
• Annual Mother/Daughter Softball Games at — 2 p.m.
• Winners announced for Clawson Beautiful Baby Contest — 7 p.m.
• Fireworks Show at dusk — about 10 p.m.
