Get Out: Super Bowl Party, Ferndale Blues Fest, Scrapbooking

Why go:
It's a chance for scrapbookers to catch some bargains and use the store's cricut cartridges for free. The evening offers great fellowship of other scrappers and crafters and a chance for you to work on your projects.  Beverages and snacks are included in the price.

2. Ferndale Blues Festival

Where/When: Various venues in Ferndale, the festival runs through Feb. 6 and Friday's festivities begin at 8:30 p.m.
Why go:
The blues festival features more than 50 acts performing at 20 different venues. Friday's performances include the Alley Cats at at 8:30 p.m. and Howard Glazer & the El 34s at at 9 p.m.

3. Royal Oak Library Music Series

Where/when: , 222 E 11 Mile Rd. at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Why Go:
Local folk music icon Matt Watroba will kick off the library's music series with singing and teaching about the world of American folk music.

4. Clawson Lion's Club Pancake Breakfast

Where/when: At City Hall from 8 a.m.-noon Sunday
Why go:
The Clawson Lion's Club is having a pancake breakfast to benefit several community causes supported by the organization.
Pricing:
$5 for eggs to order, french toast, strawberry or blueberry pancakes, and a beverage.

 5. Super Bowl Party

Where/When: beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, buffet will start at 6 p.m.
Why Go:
Looking for a local place to enjoy the big game with family and friends? The Black Lotus Brewing Co. is having a Super Bowl Party on Sunday. Members of the Mug Club can get $3 mug pints, a pizza buffet, and a chance to win prizes during the game. The Brewery will have specials all night.
Pricing:
$25 or free for Mug Club members
