Mark Your Calendar for May Events in Clawson

There's plenty do in Clawson as the sunshine season settles in.

With hopes that April showers will bring May flowers and sunshine, too, Clawson will be busy with a list of family-fun events this month.

On Saturday and Sunday, the American Cancer Society will host Relay for Life at Clawson City Park. The event begins at 7 a.m. Saturday and continues with around-the-clock activities through 9:30 a.m. Sunday.  

Beginning at 9 a.m. May 14, the sixth annual Claws and Paws 2 Mile Run/Walk for homeless animals will take place at City Park. Participants may walk or jog with their pets or stand along the sidelines and cheer. After the walk, vendors, pet adoption booths, games and prizes will be at the park. The event will benefit Guardians for Animals and the Clawson Chamber of Commerce.

Farmers Market Flower Day

The Clawson Farmers Market introduces Flower Day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 22 at City Park. There will be a variety of spring plantings from vendors across Michigan. Two women will also present a hoe demonstration at the event.

Memorial Day Parade

Clawson's Memorial Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. May 30 at the American Legion Hall, 655 S. Main St., and ends at next to . The small parade will feature Legionnaires, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and bands.
