Photos: Flower Day at the Clawson Farmers Market

Live music, produce and flowers greet the hundreds of people who attended the opening day for the market, which will return in July.

About 300 people showed up for the annual Flower Day event Sunday at the .

Market director Travis Cochran said this year's market went smoothly with an average turnout.

"I think it was good," Cochran said of the event which was at  on a beautiful sunny day.

There was live music, produce vendors, food, spring plantings and several booths for local organizations at the market.

J.D. Dixon was at the Clawson Farmers Market for his third year, selling varieties of lettuce, erbs, oregano and more.

"It was an average day for us," Dixon said. "But I was expecting more people. We would have normally sold out."

Cochran said he hopes to have more vendors at the market when it reopens in July.

"We are always looking for good vendors that bring value and products that people would want to buy," Cochran said.
