Weekend Planner: Easter Egg Hunt, Jimmy Marvin Benefit, Ballet and More

1. Easter Egg Hunt

Clawson Youth Assistance will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday at . Kids will separated by age groups: age 4 and under; ages 5-7; ages 8-9 and ages 10-12. The hunt is usually quick, so organizers advise families to get to the park on time. The event is free. 

2. Coupon Class

Relay for Life of Clawson will host a basic coupon class as a fundrasier on Saturday from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at . The class will cover the basics of strategic coupon-using including collection and organizing, coupon anatomy, saving with coupons and more. The class is $10. Visit the web site to sign up. 

3. Ballet Performance

Link Ballet of Troy will perform the ballet "Gissell" on Saturday at . Showtimes are at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. It is a story of innocence, first love, betrayal, disillusionment, madness, death, revenge and forgiveness. 4. Jimmy Marvin Benefit

The Jimmy Marvin "Spring into Life Benefit" is at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at U.F.C.W. Hall, 876 Horace Brown Dr. in Madison Heights. The scholarship fundraiser is in memory of Jimmy who passed away Jan. 31, 2004 at the age of 19 from Ewing's Sarcoma cancer. The cost is $25.00 per person and includes food, refreshments, live music, raffles, silent auction, Deal or No Deal and much more. 

5. Euchre Tournament

The Troy Fire Women’s Auxiliary is hosting a Euchre Tournament at 7 p.m. Saturday at . The cost is $27 per person which includes beer, soda, snacks, door prizes, cash bar with wine & mixed drinks. The Egg hunt was horrible. My daughter left in tears! If your going to allow so many kids then you should have enough for all!

I agree, the egg hunt was very disapointing. My 4 year old got 4 eggs, and she was willing to give them to kids who were upset with no eggs... I will not be going back. I don't think the kids need a 100 eggs each or anything, but it was really sad the way it ended up.
