Police Blotter: Liquor Stolen from Rite Aid

Suspect left the scene in what appeared to be a late '90s Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable.

are searching for a man who reportedly stole several bottles of liquor from on West 14 Mile Road on Friday morning.

The store manager told police that she was standing behind the counter when a man exited the store, setting off the alarm. The man placed a shopping basket in the back of his vehicle and drove off in what appeared to be a late '90s Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable, she said. When the manager checked the shelves, she noticed several bottles of Cognac brandy missing as well as three bottles of Grey Goose vodka, the police report said. The manager said the man had spent most of his time in the store in the liquor aisle. 

The amount of liquor stolen is valued at $265.91.

Store employees describe the man as about 25 years old and wearing a green and white track jacket, black ball cap, dark pants and glasses.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Clawson Police at 248-435-5000.
