Three Candidates File for Two Clawson City Council Seats

Voters will elect two candidates to four-year terms; Mayor Penny Luebs runs unopposed.

Three candidates will vie for the two open seats on the Clawson City Council in the Nov. 8 election, and Mayor Penny Luebs will run unopposed.

The filing deadline for candidates was 4 p.m. Tuesday. Councilman Howie Airriess is running for his second term on the council; Gregory Kucera Jr. and Brady DiAntonio are also running. Luebs will be running for a third term as Mayor.

The mayoral terms are two years long and council terms are four years.

The deadline for candidates to withdraw from the race is 4 p.m. Friday.

Residents can register to vote at the or at the Oakland County Clerk's office. The deadline to register is Oct. 11.
