Whiz Kid: Josie Campbell Shines at School and in the Community

Eighth-grader is involved with several organizations.

Accomplishment: Josie is active in both the school and community. She is a member of the Junior Optimist Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Peer Tutoring, Peer Mediation, National Junior Honor Society, middle school cheerleading and is a former Mavericks cheerleader and she has participated in both the Junior Miss Clawson and Young Miss Clawson pageants. Josie's mom, Shannon Campbell, said Josie is taking three high school classes and took the ACT test through the Northwestern University academic talent search. 

Key to Awesomeness: "Josie loves to help out with everything she is able to," Shannon Campbell said. "Josie is a very studious young lady."

Josie would like to attend the University of Michigan and pursue a career as a CSI agent.

Personally, I'm enjoying that I can blog and post announcements on here free of charge. When IRead More called months ago, the young man I spoke with told me I'd have to pay a small fortune to place a business ad.

I don't blog, so the fact that it is free is irrelevant to me, but great for those who do blog.Read More However, I have to agree with the majority. The new site is very unappealing visually and much less user-friendy. Are all the "Patch" news run by the same people? I would like our to have more individuality to it and be easier to use.
